Thermoplay, a business of Barnes Molding Solutions, specializes in the development and manufacture of hot runner systems for plastic injection moulding applications. The company is headquartered in the industrial area of Pont-Saint-Martin in Aosta, Italy, with a team of 179 specialized employees in the manufacturing plant, which cov- ers a surface of 11,000 square meters.
Thermoplay is well represented with sales and technical support teams in 48 countries. The company has also established sales and service branches in other countries such as France, Germany, United Kingdom, Portugal, USA, Brazil, China, and India.
HOT RUNNER SOLUTIONS
As a result of continuous product development and considerable investment, Thermoplay is considered a global leader in hot runner system solutions. A team of researchers and specialized technicians, aware of customer requirements in a continu- ously evolving market, enables the development of a flexible and easy-to-manage range of products. Prototypes are tested using a wide range of plastic materials and undergo simulations to verify performance during the transformation process.
Our continuous technological research enhances the quality and performance of our products and has facilitated the patenting of several innovative functioning principles. Due to the strategic partnerships we develop with our customers during the design process, we can provide a high level of technical advice to achieve the best solution for any type of injection requirement, thus optimizing the process and tool costs.
The product range, designed and built exclusively in-house, consists of a vast selection of standard and special hot runner systems, including complete hot halves, tempera- ture controllers, simulation analysis, simultaneous injection of different colors and materials, and state-of-the-art custom projects.
Thermoplay distributes the majority of its products throughout Europe and offers excellent service in the packaging market, which includes caps and closures, personal care, and medical. Additional key markets for Thermoplay are automotive, electronics, and white goods.
